Moored in Brixham Harbour is a full sized replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship Golden Hind.  This replica 16th century sailing ship is a living museum dedicated to telling the story of Devon’s favourite son, Sir Francis Drake and his exploits.

Pirates & Buccaneers
Staff dressed in authentic costume show visitors what life was like on board in the 16th century vessel and on Thursdays during the summer season, the ship is invaded by pirates.

Pirate Thursdays are familiy days - there are Puppet shows, face painting, story telling, dressing up and best of all -  throw the wet sponges at the pirates and much much more. The Brixham Buccaneers are led by Captain Blood ‘n’ Guts.
