Rare Breeds Centre in south-east England is a fabulous day out for both adults and children alike.  It is a chance to get up close and personal with many types of animals, birds, insects and plants.

In the Encounter Pens and Children’s Barn, children are encouraged to gently touch the animals and interact with them.  For children not used to the countryside and farm animals, this Centre is a magical place.

You can have close encounters with Birds of Prey, birds in the walk through aviary and colourful butterflies in the Butterfly Tunnel.  Hidden on a walk through the wood to the Totem Pole and Secret Lake are curious wood sculptures.  During April and May the woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells.

There are plenty of adventure playgrounds some with challenging above ground assault courses and soft Play areas for toddlers. Many of the attractions are under cover making it a suitable all year venue.
