This annual horticultural show is famous for the quality of its displays, and takes place over two days in mid-August. Organised by the Shropshire Horticultural Society, it also features TV personalities, celebrity Chefs, singers, spectacular arena acts and ends with a magnificent firework display.
 
The show is one of the country’s premier Flower Show events, attracting more than 50 top exhibitors from all over the country.

Layout
A large number of marquees host different aspects of horticulture:
 
- The main Quarry Marquee is non-competitive and hosts some of the top horticulturalists in the country
- Severn Marquee is home to the various societies, amateur growers plus Bees and Honey exhibitors. Competition is fierce amongst the amateur growers who provide some wonderful displays. Judging takes place on Friday morning before the Show opens
- Dingle Marquee is home to the popular Floral Art exhibitors, and the Women’s Institute Stall ‘Ask the Expert’
- Future Marquee
- Lecture Theatre and the
- Outdoor Show Gardens.  These are becoming increasingly popular each year and are judged on the Thursday morning.
 
Bandstand
During the show, music performers range from military bands to pop groups.
 
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased from the Shropshire Horticultural Society located at Quarry Lodge, Shrewsbury SY1 1RN.
 
The Lodge is open Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:00.
In the month of July and the first week of August it is also open on Saturdays from 09:00 – 12:00.

The event is held on the second Friday and Saturday of August.

Getting There
- By Car
Shrewsbury connects to the M6 and motorway network via the M54. The A49, A5, A53, A458 all make Shrewsbury easily accessible.
 
On the outskirts of Shrewsbury AA road signs direct vehicles to the Shrewsbury Flower Show and to the nearest car park with spaces where a shuttle bus will take passengers to the showground. Please Note – There is no parking within the showground.
 
By Public Transport
The largest landmark building near to Quarry Park is St Chad's Church.
