Fish & Chip ShopAldeburgh
226 High Street

Fish and chips are an iconic British fast food. The best shops use freshly caught local fish.

The fish should be lightly battered and fried in smoking hot oil. The chips should be cut from locally grown potatoes and not frozen. The traditional accompaniment should be salt and vinegar and the whole package wrapped up in yesterday’s daily newspaper!

Unfortunately, modern health regulations have modified the packaging and introduced things like little wooden forks as eating utensils to take the place of fingers.

This shop serves locally caught fresh fish and locally grown Suffolk potato chips but some non-traditional items have crept into their menus.

This is a sister eatery to The Golden Galleon & Upper Deck shop further along the High Street.
