The Anchor Inn Poole
West Street
Shapwick Village
Dorset DT11 9LB

The Anchor Inn can be found in the tiny village of Shapwick in Dorset, opposite the village cross. This is a delightful village pub with good food and Real Ales.

This is a comfortable rural pub with a welcoming atmosphere. During the winter open fires warm the bar. Like the village, the Anchor Inn is a hidden gem – it is a surprise to find such excellent food in a local pub. As word gets out it may be worth telephoning to book prior to your visit.

The Anchor has four real ale pumps with a good range of local beers and a diverse selection of wines.
