The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway operates between Chinnor and Thame Junction near Princes Risborough.  Chinnor Station is currently the only station on the line which runs from Chinnor to the south near the M40 (from High Wycombe to Oxford) to Thame Junction near the A4010. Chinnor is the headquarters of the Railway.

Chinnor is quite a large village with its major church, St Andrews, dating back to the 12th century.

A Day Out
Trips start from Chinnor station to Thame Junction where CPRRA then returns to Chinnor. There is no exit from the train at this point. Most excursions are on the Railways own Diesel Multiple Unit or by their diesel hauled set of ex BR carriages.

This is a relatively short excursion a on a short railway passing through glorious Oxfordshire countryside. Quite enjoyable.

We recommend that you visit the railway by car from the M40 as there is no connection to the Chiltern main BR line at Princes Risborough. Hopefully a connection to this station will be made in the not too distant future.
