Handel & Hendrix in London is made up of two residences: Handel’s house at 25 Brook Street and Jimmi Hendrix’s flat on the top floor of 23 Brook Street. Handel House Museum has been open to the public since November 2001 and Hendrix’s flat was the administrative office for staff.
After substantial fundraising and support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Hendrix’s bedroom has been restored to how it was in 1968-69 along with additional exhibition and interactive space for visitors.
On 14 September 1997, 23 Brook Street was chosen for an English Heritage Blue Plaque commemorating his life and work. It is the only officially recognised Hendrix residence in the world.
The two properties are open every day from 11:00 – 18:00 hours except Sunday when they open at noon. Last admissions are 1 hour before closing. For detailed information go to Web: Handel & Hendrix in London/ opening times
Visitors may visit Handel’s House at any time during opening hours. Due to the smallness of the Hendrix Flat this property operates a ticket system. To avoid disappointment visitors wishing to visit the Hendrix Flat should book online to obtain your ticket.
