The Martyrs Inn Dorchester
49 Main Road
Dorset DT2 7ES

The Martyrs Inn is the only pub in the Dorset village of Tolpuddle. Its name refers to the village’s most famous residents, the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

In the 1830s when the Martyrs were living in Tolpuddle, the original pub was The Crown and the centre of village life. However, in 1915 the old building was pulled down to make room for First World War tanks to pass through the village.

The current building was built in 1930 and is owned by Hall and Woodhouse, one of the few remaining independent breweries in the area.

Drinks
The pub serves a selection of Draught Beers and Cider, Hall & Woodhouse Real Ales (Badger First Gold and seasonally changing ales). There is also a good selection of quality wines by the glass, teas and filter coffees.

Food
Good food is also served. Choose from a selection of dishes of fish to game or freshly cut sandwiches.

Sunday Roast: Traditional Sunday Lunch all freshly prepared offering a choice of usually two roasts served with homemade Yorkshire Puddings & all the trimmings.

Always check the meal times with the pub website (link Below) before visiting.
