This standard gauge heritage railway offers a round trip passenger journey of approximately four miles (6.4 km)and is only a short distance from the Cotswold city of Swindon
Trains currently run between Taw Valley Halt - Blunsdon (just north of Swindon) and South Meadow Lane - Hayes Knoll (just south of Cricklade). There are plans to extend the line northwards to the unspoilt village of Cricklade whilst at the southern end of the line there is an extension currently under construction to Mouldon Hill Park.
Visitor Centre & Car Park
Blunsdon station is where visitors join this small railway. Here tickets can be purchased as well as visits to the Railway Shop, cafe and dining. Children are well catered for with special parties and rides.
Vintage Engines & Rolling Stock
There are vintage steam and diesel hauled trains and DMU's as well as static displays. The Hayes Knoll station includes the S&C Railway's locomotive shed and restoration area. The engine shed is open to visitors on most weekends.

The railway is just north of Swindon and south of Cirencester
