It is no wonder that Techniquest is one of the most popular family attractions in Cardiff Bay. This hands-on science and discovery centre appeals to anyone with an enquiring mind.

The brightly coloured exhibits invite toddlers to grandparents to press buttons and turn dials to see what happens. You can’t help being enthralled by the vast array of puzzles, gadgets and structures in the main exhibition hall.

Science has never been so much fun – you can launch a hot air balloon watch an ant colony at work, create an electrical circuit or blast a rocket into space. There are more than 120 interactive exhibits to explore.

For a change of pace you can discover the stars and planets in the Planetarium and enjoy a show in the Science Theatre. Trained demonstrators present shows using all manner of materials to introduce different scientific concepts in an extremely entertaining way.
