Sandwich Riverbus Canterbury
The Quay
Kent CT13 9EN

The Riverbus is a leisurely way to explore the River Stour and see Sandwich from the water. The company uses older type boats which are very stable and sedate. These boats cause little disturbance to the wildlife as they travel along the river.

Captain Colin Wright has been running the Riverbus since 1991. He provides short trips of approximately half an hour through the town, longer trips up river to the Richborough Roman Fort. Wildlife of all sorts is plentiful including seals, all types of water birds including ducks, herons and swans.

Captain Colin provides an informed commentary on everything you will see.

Passengers are welcome to bring a picnic to eat on board but cream teas can be pre-ordered for consumption during some tours. Check this with Captain Colin.
