Three notable boats are moored at Princes Wharf in Bristol’s historic harbour. The SV Mayflower, SV John King and SV Pyronaut are part of the M Shed’s Working Exhibit.
The 1861 Mayflower is a steam tug; the 1835 John King is a diesel powered tug and the Pyronaut is a 1934 fire float. On weekends and Bank Holidays throughout the summer months, a dedicated band of volunteers run trips around the harbour on these historic boats.
